Content Change Request Guide - Revision 1

This is how we'd like you to format content change requests to ensure that your website is updated as promptly as possible.

All instructions on how to achieve the desired format apply to Microsoft Word.

Introduction

This document describes conventions that Logan Young Software (hereafter referred to as "the Company") prefers our clients to use when submitting requests for content changes on their websites.

The intent of this document is to ensure that the Company clearly understands the nature of the changes that you're requesting. This will enable us to maximize efficiency in applying the changes requested and minimize time wastage during the process.

General

When requesting changes, please clearly indicate which page the change is to be made on. The preferred method is to include the page name and URL in a grey block on your document.

Example

To do this, write the text and highlight it, then go to "Borders and Shading" and set the shading colour on the paragraph.

Please separate multiple changes on a single page with a horizontal rule by adding a line with 3 dashes (---).

Text Block Replacement

For changes to text on the page, please indicate the text that is to replaced as it appears on the website currently and then fill in the replacement text as follows:

• Text to be added should have a light green background and dark green text,
• Text to be removed should havea light red background and dark red text and should have strikethrough style set,
• Indicate the quoted text by adding a left margin of any colour to it.

Font Colour & Typographic Changes

If you'd like to have the font colour or the style of the text changed, please indicate this in point form beneath the indicated text changes before the horizontal rule as these changes could get lost in the quoted text block.

Note: There is no need to change the colour or style of the font in your change request document aside from the already prescribed changes for text replacement.

For any other comments about the changes, please indicate in italic text after the points about these font/style changes.

Example

• "Henry Ford" should be bold text,
• "Ford Motor Company" should be in red.
